Y.E.E.: “Yunus Said a Word’’ Now Available on Digital Platforms

The works came together in the album “Yunus Said a Word’’. The album takes its name from a line in Yunus Emre’s poem “Çıktım Erik Dalına (I went up to the plum branch)’’.
Many voices and saz artists from different countries came together for the original compositions of the poems, which gained a new breath with the performances of six musicians, using more than 20 musical instruments in each piece. The verses written centuries ago, accompanied by various authentic instruments from kopuz to dombra, copo coor to cura and rebaba, met with music. In the project where every stage, from studio to video clip shooting, from album recording to the promotional concert, was carried out by Yunus Emre Institute, the Institute made a music album for the first time as a producer.
